Why Epoxy?
Custom Epoxy Formula:
Bonds permanently to aluminum, reduces vibration which can cause cracks, and reduces false knock.
Thermal Compatibility:
Engineered with a thermal expansion rate closer to aluminum for long-term stability. Sement alternatives has been known to expand while drying which squishes the bores and causes piston clearance issues. Our epoxy is Non-Expanding and Non Shrinking.
Easy Installation:
The 2-part epoxy has a runny consistency for a clean-looking install. Can be applied before or after machine work as it doesn’t expand.

Alternatives:
Unlike other alternatives, the epoxy won't deteriorate over time or erode away as it has chemical resistance to coolant.
Daily Driveable?
The epoxy retains stock cooling properties similar to CSS blocks, or other closed deck platforms such as the b58. Cooling will not be an issue for street or track use.
Epoxy will be applied by filling the block with a solute such as sugar or salt. You then fill the remainder of the block (3/4'') with the high-temperature, 2-part epoxy, and then let it dry for 24 hours. After filling the block and letting the epoxy harden, you will drill the coolant passages as per the head gasket, then you will fill the block with water to dissolve the sugar or salt and leave the block with a thick, custom piece of permanent epoxy

If you are currently or planning to build your N54 engine and don't want to spend excess money on a closed deck block, I see no reason to not install this epoxy. It will not effect daily drivability, and will support your cylinders higher power levels and lengthened longevity.
This product is still in the testing stages, yet similar products proven on many other platforms such as LS and Honda ALUMINUM cylinder blocks.
